Scotty's Bio

Scotty Rudd is originally from Baudette, MN, a father of one daughter, is a graduate of the University of North Dakota, and currently teaches Air Force pilots and aircrews in a flight simulator and classroom in the Minneapolis area. A pilot by trade, Scotty began flying in college, landing his first flying job as a cloud seeder in Montana. He then entered US Air Force where he saw the world from the cockpit of the F-15 Eagle, C-130 Hercules, and C-12. Stationed in Arkansas, Alaska, and Wisconsin, Scotty flew combat missions in Desert Storm and Bosnia.

A testament to the notion that it’s never to late to pursue a passion or dream, Scotty only began playing music 5 years ago. Never playing music before, learning to play the guitar was a daunting challenge. The natural next step was to sing. And the final challenge; to perform popular music to an audience.

Scotty is currently a singer-songwriter living in Hudson, WI. He performs folk, rock, and country music at a variety of stages and venues including local bars, restaurants, pubs, and coffee houses. Using both a 6 and 12-string acoustic guitar, vocals, and an occasional harmonica, Scotty plays classic popular music as well as a few original songs. He performs an interesting mix of rich folk, acoustic rock, and classic country tunes. From St. Paul to Eau Claire to Hibbing, Scotty plays popular acoustic tunes, past to present, favoring the sounds of the late 60’s and early 70’s.
